Such specialist assistant is generally referred to as an ‘Expert Witness’ whose specialized knowledge is invaluable in evaluating or proving or disproving a litigant’s case.
Our system conveniently facilitates locating an appropriately trained and skilled EXPERT WITNESS with the specialized knowledge and who would be willing to bear witness in a professional manner at an acceptable fee.
QUALIFIED EXPERT WITNESS MEMBERS WILL:

THE REGISTER
Facilitates locating persons who are willing to avail their services and impart with their knowledge and skills in a professional manner. This is applicable to all spheres of human activity, especially those most of us are unfamiliar with and unaware of.
We will make on-line training available to up-skill members who are unable to frequent established centres of learning.
Experts who have insufficient prior experience, but wish to learn how to act as an EXPERT WITNESS, may utilize our online training webinars or attend workshops and seminars to upskill themselves in this discipline. They will be evaluated by Accredited Experienced Professionals.
Aspirant Expert Witnesses have the opportunity to rub shoulders with other highly knowledgeable, experienced members when attending our social activities.

- Expert Witness Reports should be structured, clear and palatable format to be acceptable to the Courts. We aim to improve the standard of Expert Witness reports.
- Members may apply to enrol for our online training webinars to qualify as an accredited Expert Witness. When qualified, the Member may use The Experts Register logo on future Reports and Documentation.
- Technology is available which greatly facilitates the perusal and navigation of reports submitted in electronic format, along with a printed version. We aim to provide online training on the formatting of documents and the use of hyperlinks to Annexures and Addenda by upskilling those who compile such reports.
Our membership of Qualified Experienced Expert Witnesses will provide education and guidelines based on their experience to enhance the quality of reporting by Experts when engaged as Witnesses.
Experienced Expert Witnesses are invited and encouraged to publish papers on their speciality in our Articles section.

PEER REVIEWED REPORTS
We encourage reports to be submitted for Peer Review. Reports that have been independently Peer Reviewed by another Qualified Expert Witness with similar knowledge, may add balance and command more credibility than those solely relying on the view of one Expert Witness, whose view may be contentious or biased or otherwise flawed, thus weakening the reliability and substance of the Expert Witness Report.
Peer Reviewed reports may be endorsed as: “COMPILED AND INDEPENDENTLY PEER REVIEWED BY QUALIFIED MEMBERS OF The EXPERTS REGISTER. ” The Experts Register logo should also be displayed on the Report. We aim to set standards and cultivate trust in the validity reports compiled by our Qualified Members.
Our Members are expected to commit themselves to the Unbiased Truth, when applying their Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Wisdom, while upholding the highest standards of Ethics and Morality.
SUBSCRIBE AS AN EXPERT WITNESS
- Anyone, who classifies themselves as an EXPERT WITNESS as described above and complies with our qualifying criteria, is invited to register under this sector and to benefit from the discounted social and educational activities of The Experts Register.
- Engagement with other members is easily facilitated by using on-line conference programs such as ZOOM, SKYPE, WhatsApp etc. thus eliminating the need to travel and its associated costs or the physical attendance of workshops and seminars.
- Online systems such as ZOOM or SKYPE make live interaction with members and course presenters easily available to anyone with internet access.
- Payment platforms such as PAYFAST facilitate easy and quick payments to access the services provided by our Members, Tutors and Lecturers who are associated with The Experts Register.
- EXPERT WITNESSES can supplement their income by providing their services at a Fee. There is a field in the application form where an indicative hourly rate must be entered. This rate will be displayed along with your proximity to enable Users to see if your profile meets their requirements. These filters are there to minimize unsuitable enquiries. It is only displayed when your profile meets with a User’s search criteria.
- The indicative fee should be fair and valid for most engagements but may be amended upon further consultation with the User (Client).
- Searches are made on a matching of Keywords contained in the description of your services, abilities and specialities. This text box is where you tell us what you are good at. Keywords which are not on the database will be added, subject to our filter for inappropriate content.
- EXPERT WITNESSES may promote their services on this system and once introduced, further engage with the Client, as usual, without this system.
